Almost ready for primer
It's been a busy couple days on the car trying to get it all ready to primer by next weekend. I finished the doors and reworked the roof as it had a few spots I wasn't really happy with. My good friend Dustin came over for a bit to lend a hand on some of the sanding, and even my wife Tammie and my little girl Indy helped out. Gone over the fenders and fixed a few dents that were in them. Pretty much all that's left is a few welds to grind down in the back area, sand the gas tank and to clean up the rear apron a little.

More Door Work
Well it was back to the doors. With the top of the passenger tack welded on I mover over to do the drivers side. I ended up trimming more of the door top due to the shabby work from the last owner. With everything tack welded I pulled the doors off filled in the gaps and welded everything . I was able to grind all the welds down on one of the doors and started to glass over some of the welded areas.

Top of Door
I had a few hours of free time today so I went back to work on the passenger door and cut and tack welded the tops of the door back on. This was like 3 hours work to get them cut and lined back up so it looks good when the door is closed. I also finished up most of the welding on the B pillar where the hinge comes out of it.

More Door Work
Well it was more door work. Had to trim up where the old hinge was in the door then weld in some plates to cover the gap, grind, fill with a little fiberglass, sand and then hit it with a little primer to see how it looks.
It takes a little more time on the A pillar to keep all the lines right and working in the smaller areas is a pain in the ass. I still have a good day on the passenger side and then I can move onto the drivers side to finish.
I also did a little more work on the rear deck lid to smooth out the relief cuts. I think a good week of work would almost do it to finish off the body so I can prime and paint it.

Door Latches
I'm catching up on a few days here. I finished welding the recesses into the door and added some reinforcement as well. Both doors work as they should.
I moved on to spot welding up all the holes in the A pillar as well as welding in some medal where the old hinges were. When everything looked good I went ahead and welded it all up. The striker was welded in the A pillar as well. Then it was on to the doors to weld the brackets that hold the bear claw latches. Cleaned up all the welds and that was pretty much it for the weekend.
